Abstract

The called Generation of 50's meant a profound renewal in the field of Peruvian poetry because it made possible the assimilation of the contributions of French symbolism, surrealism and the Spanish poetry of the Generation of the 27, through a profound reflection on modernity and national identity. In this sense, poets of 50's rediscovered César Vallejo and lived in a context marked by the post-war period and the diffusion of existentialist thought.
