What is the sense of history?

Abstract

This article reviews the constitution of history and historiography and the approach of some philosophers (from Voltaire to Fukuyama) to this constitutive process. The thread that follows the text aims to answer the question: what is the meaning of history? Towards the end, the author rehearses an answer to the question posed from the perspective of the peripheral countries.
