Eugenesia de lo anómalo: de la idealización a la trascendencia subjetiva

Abstract

The treatment given here to the concept of eugenics is based on the recognition of its philosophical foundation: the act of having a body, a mechanistic, productivist principle of the usury of the body that extends to our days. The work passes, over time, over different subjectivity and contemporary eugenic models. For this, the analysis will be limited to a deconstruction of the essential principles that underlie any eugenic conception, especially the productive-available nature of bodies and the idealization that operates in all eugenics. This hermeneutics of eugenics corresponds, at the same time, to a phenomenology of the affective subject that does not require any idealization related to race, ideology, a privileged body, or production. This last ontological variation, in which the subject understands himself without any mediation, is the one that the work affirms as a response to any eugenic proposal.

Leandro Catoggio, CONICET/Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina

Leandro Catoggio (Conicet, Argentina) es doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad Nacional de Lanús (Argentina), investigador asistente del CONICET y docente de la cátedra de Filosofía Moderna en la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina). Actualmente participa como investigador de la Facultad de Psicología (UNMdP) mediante el proyecto “Variaciones sobre sí-mismo. Acceso e interpretación de la experiencia vivida”. Pertenece a la Red Iberoamericana de Hermenéutica y al proyecto internacional Rede de pesquisa em fenomenología naturalizada, hermenéutica, e teorías da enfermidade. Es miembro de la Asociación Argentina de Investigaciones Éticas (regional Buenos Aires). Sus principales áreas de trabajo son la fenomenología y la hermenéutica. Sobre ellas ha coeditado los libros Decir el abismo. Lecturas de Heidegger y su obra en la década del ´30 (Mar del Plata, Eudem, 2010); Texto, significado y mundo. Aproximaciones hermenéuticas y fenomenológicas (Mar del Plata, Suarez, 2012); y Merleau-Ponty. Corporalidad, política, y otros problemas contemporáneos (Mar del Plata. UNMdP, 2016).
