Abstract

This article considers the issue of psychologization as a paradigm of psy-complex, which, by impacting a particular influence in the field of psychotherapy, determine a tautological normativity around identity and narrative in contemporary mental health. In this regard, considering the contributions of clinical phenomenology to the investigation of first-person experience, a reconstruction of the person-centered dialectical model and the hermeneutic model proposed by Giovanni Stanghellini will be presented in order to clarify their axiological rationality and identity vulnerability as normative principles of their therapeutic. Based on these proposals, which constitute the phenomenological-dynamic perspective, the ethical-political implications of such normativity will be critically analyzed under the potential psychologization of the conceptual operationalizations of identity and narrative. The objective is to clarify that, since these models are transversally determined by an existential responsibility, subsequent health mandates lead to a concentration of identity that, while maintaining its idiosyncratic proportionality alongside its appropriate narratives, consolidates an adaptive world project that insufficiently interrogates a notion of the subject that determines mental disorders as private and leaves the conditions of possibility of the world untreated from its concrete dimensions.
