Heraclitus: the physics of opposites

Abstract

The physics of Heraclitus of Ephesus (540-475a.n.e.) continues that of the Ionians, is a cosmogony based on a cosmogonic element: fire, but, as an element (or "substance") generating the opposites; since it would not be only like a symbol of mobility, in accordance with the heraclites' formula: "everything flows. "It is not possible to enter the same river twice...".
