Abstract

Documentary photography is nourished by images of cultural, artistic and scientific remains from past times and like a cash register machine, it directs its photographic eye towards the ancient world, recording these scarce remnants for their infinite preservation and safeguarding the cultural heritage, spreading values to a civilised society. This world of historical remains, in a current age, seems to be threatened by misfortune, by looting and theft by specialised gangs.
