Image of a committed writer: resources of autofiction in La tumba del relámpago by Manuel Scorza

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to analyze the autofictional procedures present in La tumba del relámpago of Manuel Scorza (1979). In the first place, the concept of autofiction is delimited to then examine the autofictional mechanisms used by the writer in order to highlight themes such as the ambiguous pact, memory and the author's representation in the fictional world of the novel. It is concluded that the autofictional story presents an ambiguous pact that relates fictional and true facts, and allows the existence of a double level of enunciation in which an oniric level and a historical level are interspersed when narrating the history of peasant rebellions.
