Oral tradition and collective indigenous (indigenist) memory in our indigenous community

Abstract

Our indigenous community belongs to that group of texts that moves between the modernist canonical writing and the nineteenth-century writing of what was then called folklore. In this discursive series we can investigate the conflictive tensions of the cultural heterogeneity of the country as a metaphor of disharmony, which in thick lines is expressed as the written representation confronting the oral representation; signatories, in turn, of the basic social components of the country, and which would translate into the tense relationship we can investigate between the "literate city" and the metaphor of the hut we suggested in 1996.
