Three themes of the image of the Conquest and Colonization
Abstract
One of the intellectual consequences of the discovery of America in Europe, and in Spain in particular, was the "revival of utopia" which was no longer projected to a dreamed-of place but to a "possible" one, whose location minimised the awareness of the difficult European situation at the time. Initially, no importance was attached to the discovery of new lands, but subsequently it became a receptacle and reflection of the most extreme aspirations.Downloads
